To make blood, dont start from scratch, google or what not blood in itself, and look at how real blood is. Or create your own from scratch and take pictures of it, im sure there is a tutorial on how to create realstic looking blood for makeup artists. Using these will help take the guess work out of how blood should flow or appear as its randomly splattered. So Find good reference and manipulate it. Remember an artist is as good as his/her reference
